Charging Problem

Battery charging problem: Do-it-yourself solution!

First of all, check the USB port! This is the most common solution to battery charging problem! After continuous plugging and unplugging of the charging cable, the USB port and the micro USB charger may not be contacting well with each other! To deal with this, you have to shut down your device, remove the battery (if possible) then use a toothpick (or something small) to adjust the little tab inside the USB port of your phone or tablet! Then turn on your device and try plug it in! This little step actually the most successful solution!

Secondly, clear any gunk that might be clogging your phone’s ports! Such situations happen when we put our phone in the pocket of our jeans! The issue could be the lint that accidentally gets stuck inside the charging port of your phone! There are many other cases when it is the dust or candy that prevent your phone from charging properly. To deal with such charging problem, all you need is a can of compressed air! It will help blow out all the irritants inside the port and bring your phone back to normal.

Thirdly, try replacing your charging cable! Except the lightning cables from Apple, all other cables are quite resilient! However, after long time use, the cable can malfunction! If you do all the methods above but it still doesn’t work, try replacing your current cable with another one! If it works, you need to replace your cable with another one! If it still doesn’t, opt for the last method below!

Last but not least, check the wall plug adapter! There are cases when the USB port in the wall plug adapter gets looser after long time use! In that case, you have to buy another one. (Fortunately this situation rarely happens). However, before you go to the store and purchase a brand new charger, use that charger with another phone to make sure the fault is not in your device! And also try another wall socket before you blame on the charger!
